Cashmere

A friend of mine brought me a bag full of rescued cashmere sweaters to experiment with. My family wasn’t delighted with me felting them in the washing machine, as every article of clothing that we washed for the next week was covered in lint.  I was tempted to make something out of all the lint that the sweaters left in the drum of the washing machine, but I didn’t.  Instead, I started making tea cozies out of the sweaters.  I have been having a bit of fun with the design incorporating bits of other stuff I have around: pearls from my Nana’s costume jewelry, glass beads, antique bits of lace, ribbon, buttons.  My first foray into crochet has made an appearance too.  Crochet and cashmere cozy
