Success?

I just finished my weekend at the Festival of Friends. It was a couple of very long days, but I was lucky to have good company. Financially the weekend was a bust.  Lots of traffic, many conversations, compliments and interest, but not a single purchase.  It is difficult not to focus on the lack of purchases, because why else do you put yourself out there.  Exposure, market research, nothing better to do for your birthday?   Maybe.  As I sit here at the end of the last day, I am thinking about the other things that came from this weekend: time with my sons because they kept me company, concentrated time with a friend because we were in a space that we didn’t have our children with us, discovering a new to me favourite band (Poor Angus), the opportunity to work on presenting my art, showing and talking to people about what I do, and I had time to make a whole new tea cozy.  I think I am going to name it Vlad.

The weekend must have been a success to have ended with a tea cozy named Vlad.
